My love of photography has its origins in the heart of San Sebastian.
Very close to our beach, La Concha, up Aldapeta hill, is the Marianistas School where I took part in my first photography workshops.
These were the 1960s and photography was very different. Film rolls, developing, a darkroom… A new way of looking at and interpreting the world opened before my eyes. I owe a lot to Txus, the teacher who helped us to develop our first photos.
I have fond memories of that Werlisa camera, a present for my first holy communion. The digital cameras. The Nikon, the Konica and, of course, my Leica.
It is easy to take up photography as a hobby when you live in San Sebastián. A very photogenic city, always ready to pose, inviting us to discover something new in it with each photograph. It all depends on the eyes you look at the city with… through the camera.
Cameras are my other fellow travellers. They have been with me all around the world, and through their lenses I have captured wonderful moments, places and people. Brazil, Kenya, Morocco, Japan, Norway… I have indelible memories of all those places, and in particular of Barcelona.
I am a restless person, with an open mind to seek new challenges in my life. In the field of photography I like the Panning technique and black-and-white, as well as photographs with a more artistic style.
On this website I want to share this passion for photography with everyone. People from Donostia-San Sebastián and visitors alike. May you all make this your home. Welcome.
